The Friends of Handforth Station are delighted that their station, and three nearby pubs, are included in the Crewe to Manchester Community Rail Partnership (C2M CRP) Rail Ale Trail 1 !
This Rail Ale Trail has been created by FoHS, working with other Station Friends groups and the C2M CRP. Assistance was gratefully received from CAMRA, and the project is supported and sponsored by Crewe BID and Cheshire Pub Co.
The intention is to encourage people to use the train to visit various towns and villages between Handforth and Crewe and sample their local attractions and their cask-conditioned beers. The Trail opened on 27th September 2025, to coincide with the exact 200th anniversary of the first ever modern railway (the Stockton Darlington Railway).
